Elder Sign is good but the theme quickly fades away and becomes an excuse to roll dice for no real reason. This expansion breathes new life into the game by making your choices of where you go matter. The expansion takes you on the streets of Arkham where you can cure your sanity at the asylum, learn skills at the university, or gain an ally at the train station. The expansion is noticeably harder in case the base game is feels too easy for veterans. Definitely an essential expansion and one that makes this game a mini-Arkham Horror
